Biographies

Dr Peter F. Miller – Director

Peter Miller  has a BSc (Honours)  in Zoology, an MSc in Forest Entomology and a PhD in Soil Ecology.   He  is a member of The New South Wales Entomology Society,  Peter is a Director and Principal Entomologist of Pest Research Consultants Pty and holds a research  position  in the Faculty of Science at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.

Peter has over 45 years experience in the area of urban entomology research, working primarily with cockroaches,  mosquitoes  and fleas.  He worked as an entomologist at the NSW Department of Agriculture and Flick Pest Control, and as a researcher and teacher at the University of Technology, Sydney where he was an Associate Professor and Head of Department. He and has conducted numerous laboratory and field studies against these insect pests. His research interests focus on the efficacy of novel insecticide formulations for use in and around the home.

Current research projects include field efficacy of area and personal repellents against mosquitoes and the field evaluation of new formulations against flying insects  and. cockroaches.

Peter has presented at conferences and meetings throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Bryce. A. Peters – Director

Bryce Peters, has a degree in Applied Science (Applied Biology), a certificate in urban pest control, and is a member of The New South Wales Entomological Society, The Entomological Society of America, and is a licensed pest control operator. Bryce is a Director and Principal Consultant of Pest Research Consultants Pty. Ltd. Bryce is also a Visiting Fellow in the Faculty of Science at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.

Bryce has over 35 years experience in the area of urban entomology research working primarily with fleas, cockroaches and mosquitoes and has conducted numerous laboratory and field studies against these insect pests. His research interests focus on the efficacy of novel insecticide formulations for use in and around the home.
